2008 mercedes-benz c-class review this car review is specific to this model, not the actual vehicle for sale. They also offer improved performance and better fuel economy than last year's models. the small family sedan that started out as the 'baby benz' in 1982 and morphed into the c-class has matured through three generations into the company's most popular model worldwide, with more than 6 million units sold. This latest generation of the smallest mercedes-benz sedan marks a big step in its maturation. the c-class comes in two distinctive personalities: sport and luxury. Each gets its own exterior styling and interior design. The c300 and c350, which replace the previous c280 and c320, indicate their more powerful v6 engines. And 4matic all-wheel drive is available. the 2008 c-class is now much closer in size, looks, and behavior to the larger e-class, yet with a lighter touch and feel all its own. we found the 2008 mercedes c350 sport feels strong but light, zippy but substantial. Handling is crisper than with the previous models. It feels sportier, less plush than before. And these cars are quick. Mercedes says the c300 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 7. 2 seconds, which is quite zippy, while the c350 can reach 60 from a standstill in just 6. 2 seconds, which is quite quick. we found the c350 sport comfortable, with seats that were containing when cornering. Market in august 2007. lineupthe entry-priced 2008 mercedes-benz c300 comes with a 2. 8-liter v6 and a choice between a seven-speed automatic and a six-speed manual. The c350 uses a 3. 5-liter v6 with the seven-speed automatic. The c300 4matic features a full-time all-wheel-drive system. Package p2 adds bi-xenon headlamps, cornering fog lamps, a split folding rear seat for cargo versatility, and a rear sunshade. The driver, front passenger and outboard rear seats all have belt tensioners and belt force limiters. The standard head restraints operate on the neck pro system. During a rear-end collision, the padded surfaces are pushed forward to support the heads of the driver and front passenger, reducing the risk of whiplash. active safety equipment that comes standard includes abs, traction control, brake assist, electronic brake-force distribution, and an electronic stability program. Body width has increased more than an inch and a half to 69. 7 inches, overall height increased almost one and a half inches, and the wheelbase has increased 1. 8 inches to 108. 4 inches. two completely fresh grilles are used, one for the luxury model with the traditional horizontal bars and hood-mounted star, one for the sport version with a large, surrounded star in the grille. The sport will have six- or seven-spoke alloy wheels and staggered tires (the rears larger than the fronts), and will carry a decklid spoiler. The luxury version will have the same size tires all around, riding on five-spoke alloy wheels. the bold new front ends are amplified by a striking, rising line in the bodyside sheetmetal from front to back, flowing directly into a set of new and more aerodynamic taillamps. The body is 13 percent stiffer in torsion and 12 percent stiffer in bending than the old car, and the chassis features a new rear axle and suspension design. the 2008 c-class is the first car in history to be designed, engineered, developed, and tested on mercedes-benz's proprietary virtual and digital design and engineering system. Completely redesigned just a year ago, the mercedes s550 and s600 are superb automobiles. These cars are loaded with technology yet the comand system is easier to operate than the systems from bmw and audi. Underway, the s-class cars are smooth, quiet, and powerful. the s-class is made up of the s550 models, which come with a v8 engine, and the s600, which comes with a turbocharged v12. The s550 4matic adds the all-weather capability of all-wheel drive. Two amg versions bring racecar performance to this big luxury sedan. all of them boast quick acceleration and are comfortable and stable at high speeds. The s600 can accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 4. 5 seconds, according to mercedes, which is very quick indeed. these cars handle remarkably well for big luxury sedans. They are responsive but not darty. The airmatic air suspension system is tuned toward the sportier end of the spectrum. And we found the brake assist plus brakes spectacular in their stopping power and stopping distance performance. completely redesigned for 2007, the mercedes-benz s-class is unchanged for the 2008 model year except for the inclusion of satellite radio as a standard feature. This latest generation of s-class are longer, wider and taller than pre-2007 models, with aggressive fender flares that give the big benz an exotic look. lineupthe 2008 mercedes-benz s-class is composed of the s550 86,700), the s550 4matic 89,700), the s600 144,200), plus the s63 amg 127,000) and the s65 amg 144,200). Unlike thermal systems, the mercedes system uses a sharper display that can operate unaffected by temperature extremes. walkaroundthe current generation s-class was launched for the 2007 model year. It's longer, wider and taller than previous models. the exterior's most noticeable features are the exaggerated fender flares front and rear. Additional design cues include an upright grille, headlamps and tail lamps, the latter with thick body-colored horizontal bars running through them and tied together with lower body molding. The decklid opening is not contained within the rear fenders, but instead extends out to the side of the body, with a distinctly raised position that looks a bit like the rear end of a 7 series bmw. That was done for exactly the same aerodynamic reasons as on the bmw, to give the air rushing over the long, long roof panel a good place to separate cleanly from the body without causing drag. A side benefit is a huge trunk opening for easy loading. to keep weight down, the hood, decklid, door skins, and much of the door interiors are made of aluminum alloys, while the main body shell is made of high-strength steel. a wide variety of wheel designs and sizes is available to suit each model, with a number of optional wheel and tire combinations. The s550 comes with nine-spoke 18-inch wheels with an optional five-spoke 18-inch alloy wheel or a chrome version of the same wheel; a 19-inch 22-spoke alloy wheel with 255/40r19 front and 275/40r19 rear tires, or a 19-inch split spoke design with the same staggered tires. The comand system, located at the center of the dash, is used to operate the radio, telephone, entertainment system, navigation system, and vehicle systems. the comand system uses a large, deeply hooded and high-mounted 16:9 ratio full-color display screen, with a console-mounted knob that twists and pushes to change categories and change settings. Everything is done with the twist-and-push controller that operates like the bmw idrive or audi mmi systems, only better. It's far easier to use and understand, even without resorting to reading the manual, and far more intuitive than the bmw and audi systems. Oh, and that thing that looks like a folded-up wood-grained, chrome-edged cellular telephone, on the console just behind the comand interface, is exactly that: a telephone dialer. another wrinkle is a strip of ambient lighting in the cockpit that starts on the left door, goes all the way across the lower part of the dash, under the wood trim panel, and all the way back on the right door, creating a continuous ribbon of light that can be adjusted through five brightness levels by using the 'vehicle' portion of the comand system. 2008 mercedes e350 4dr. Extremely good condition. According to the carfax report, i am the 3rd owner. I was very picky when i bought it and only wanted a really good one so i only looked at high-end dealerships (i. Mercedes, bmw, jaguar, range rover...). I bought it from the local jaguar dealership and was told it was traded on a new car. I keep the car washed, cleaned, waxed and regularly placed leather protectant on the interior. I changed the oil every 3,000 miles with mobil 1. When i bought the car a little over a year ago, many thought i bought a new car and it still pretty much looks the same if not better. It had 68k on it then and has 87k miles on it now. I have the original window sticker and books: 3. 5 liter 24 valve aluminum v6 engine, black/sahara beige leather 1,550), burl walnut 300), ipod integration kit 425), voice control 510), headlight washing system 100), premium i package: nav, heated front seats, power rear window sunshade, hands free communication 2,410), sport package, total msrp when new $56,970. Selling because i bought a truck and my wife would like to park in the garage. I bought an updated navigation dvd which i believe is the 2015 version. It does have bluetooth for the phone and i installed a bluetooth adapter on the ipod cable in the glove box so my iphone automatically connects to both when i start the car and talk hands free or listen to playlists via bluetooth. Speaking of starting, i do have both keys. I purchased a carfax report and it indicated on 08/12/2013, "accident reported with another motor vehicle. Very minor left rear damage reported." i'm a car enthusiast and i don't see any sign of damage or repair. It runs and drives wonderfully. I drove it daily to work for it's last 20,000 miles +/- without any issues other than i had to replace the battery a couple of months ago and had the windshield replaced when a rock chipped it. I do have the car advertised locally and reserve the right to cancel this auction if the reserve price has not yet been made.
